City Green Solutions is an enterprising non-profit with a mission to excite, inspire and lead British Columbians in finding innovative home and building energy efficiency solutions.
Vancity is making City Green’s Home Energy Advice service available to their members for free. We’ll help you find climate-friendly solutions that will tackle your home comfort woes, connect you with an energy expert, and give you confidence in making the changes your home needs.
Home Energy Advice Program
Get help turning your personal and household goals into climate-friendly solutions
This service is free for Vancity members. City Green can support you with:
- Help with where to start or identifying the next steps in your retrofit journey so that you feel confident moving forward with your plans
- Learn if a heat pump is right for your home
- Answering your questions about improving the energy efficiency of your home through insulation, windows, air sealing, ventilation, space and hot water heating
- Support with identifying contactors, finding energy advisors, and deciding between contractor quotes
- Assistance interpreting EnerGuide Home Evaluation report
How It Works
Submit a Registration Form
Tell us about your home, your goals, and your motivations for energy efficiency upgrades so that your energy expert can personalize your Home Energy Advice Report based on your needs.
Connect to an Energy Expert
Your energy expert will have a one-on-one conversation about your home with you based on the information you provided.
Receive your Report
A few days after your conversation, you’ll receive a Home Energy Advice Report that summarizes the results of your conversation with the Energy Expert to support taking your next steps in your energy efficiency journey!
Need More Support?
Ongoing support is provided to support you make decisions and answer questions.
Request your free home energy consultation
The registration form will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. The questions will help your energy expert identify what solutions are best for your home and to make recommendations to satisfy your goals and address your concerns.
